Les Chubbie (pronounced Lay Chubbie), the Chubbie, the Chub. Call it what you want but recognize its raw abiliy to slam huge fish. And don't let the picture fool you; Les Chubbie is not your ordinary crankbait it's juiced up girth gives it the appearance of a crankbait on steroids. For years BK Lures has been striving to perfect the Les Chubbie design. The result: a high quality lure that can be speed trolled, casted, or worked on the surface slowly to produce effective results.
Les Chubbie is a 7 inch jointed crankbait that is constructed of solid high impact plastic. Through testing we found the optimum trolling speed for Les Chubbie to be between 3.5 - 5.5 mph, but it can be effectively trolled up to 8 mph! The fierce vibration and knocking of Les Chubbie makes this lure desireable to all game fish.
Statistically, Les Chubbie has had tremendous results since its introduction in 2004. In its first two years of field testing, with limited users, Les Chubbies' boated more than 50 muskies over 50 inches, a 56.5" being the largest. That however was outdone by a 58" behemoth that was boated on a Black Flash Les Chubbie in the Ottawa River in 2007.
